The housing in the neighbourhood is defined by mainly single family homes built from the early 1960s to late 1970s. There are also some newer townhouse complexes, as well as a new subdivision of single family homes built on the former site of Northdale Public School on Tennent Avenue. There is a small commercial plaza at the corner of Adelaide and Fanshawe Park Road with a grocery store, a hardware store and drugstore. Masonville Mall is located a short distance to the west of the neighbourhood. Within the neighbourhood, there is a small commercial plaza on the corner of Glenora and McLean Drives.
The Kilally Meadows Environmentally Significant Area is located to the south of the residential portion of this neighbourhood. It has many trails, diverse wildlife, and access to the Thames River. Northridge has two parks within the neighbourhood, Dalkeith Park and Fanshawe Optimists Little League Park.
